Who this notice concerns
COREOPS CONSULTING LTD is responsible for information provided to it in connection with enquiries about its services. This notice describes the website’s enquiry journey. Separate information may be needed for a subsequent engagement.
Information in an enquiry
The form asks for your name, organisation, work email, optional telephone number, area of support and a message. It also records that you acknowledged this notice. Please avoid including sensitive personal information, passwords or confidential records.
Your entries remain in the page while you complete the form. They are transmitted only when you submit it. The website does not save enquiry drafts in your browser or keep the message in its own database. A failed submission preserves the values on the current page so you can try again.
How the information is used
Enquiry information is used to consider the challenge, decide whether the work appears suitable and respond. It is not added to a newsletter or used for advertising by this website.
CoreOps generally relies on its legitimate interests in receiving, assessing and responding to business enquiries. Where an individual asks CoreOps to take specific steps before entering into a contract, such as preparing a proposal or quotation, processing that is necessary for those steps may instead rely on the contract lawful basis. The privacy acknowledgement on the enquiry form is not consent to marketing.
Delivery and service providers
When you submit the enquiry form, the website sends the information through Resend for transactional email delivery to CoreOps’ Microsoft 365 mailbox. Cloudflare provides the website hosting, security services and the D1 database used for rate limiting. The enquiry message itself is not stored in the website’s D1 database.
These service providers operate internationally, so personal information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where required, international transfers are handled using safeguards and transfer mechanisms made available by the relevant service provider under applicable data protection law.
Security and retention
The endpoint validates submissions and applies length limits. Abuse prevention uses a hashed network identifier and an attempt count for a 15-minute window. Expired counters are cleared when a later enquiry is processed; raw IP addresses are not stored in that table.
General website enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to 12 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is required by law or is reasonably necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. If an enquiry leads to an engagement, relevant information may become part of CoreOps’ client and business records and will be retained in accordance with applicable legal and business record-keeping requirements.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances and the lawful basis being used, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your personal information, and in some circumstances to receive or transfer information.
Your right to object
Where CoreOps relies on legitimate interests to use your personal information, you have the right to object to that processing. If you object, CoreOps will consider your circumstances and will stop the processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds to continue, or the information is needed for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
CoreOps does not currently use information submitted through the website enquiry form for direct marketing.
You may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. The ICO’s guidance for the public explains data-protection rights.
Data protection complaints
If you have a concern about how CoreOps has handled your personal information, you can make a data protection complaint by emailing info@coreopsconsultingltd.com. Please explain what has happened and, where possible, provide enough information for CoreOps to investigate the matter.
CoreOps will acknowledge receipt of a data protection complaint within 30 days. It will investigate the complaint without undue delay, keep you informed of relevant progress and explain the outcome when the investigation is complete.
If you remain dissatisfied, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Automated decision-making
CoreOps does not use information submitted through the website enquiry form for solely automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
